Barbados Day-7 Afternoon

In the afternoon, we went to the Barbados Wildlife Reserve

I was excited to see some monkeys, but wasn't sure if we would, the first thing we came across was turtles. The Reserve is a beautiful place, lots of tress and paths to wander around on.  Brian and I went the opposite way of everyone else, so we could get pictures without everyone being in them.

We saw a lot of turtles, even with Brian teasing him, he just kept walking.
 Gators
Some people told us where the monkeys were, as we rounded a corner, this little guy was helping himself to some feed.  We saw quite a few monkeys in the trees before this one, but they were too far away for a good pic.

It was fun when the peacock showed off his tail!

I thought is interesting that the iguana has red in his eyes, where mine is white.

This flower looks like tiny hearts to me.

One thing I love about the Caribbean are all the flowers everywhere.

Farley Hill house was once the most impressive mansion in Barbados.  It was built starting in 1818 and over the years additional rooms were added.
The movie "Island in the Sun" filmed in 1965 was filmed here, later the house was destroyed by fire.

From the grounds of the house, you can see for miles, it was a really beautiful place to take a break.

Back near the ship, we bought some coconut fudge.  Brian was really excited to find fudge for sale.  But, later on the ship, we were disappointed in it.  It had gone to sugar.  Too Bad!!
As we left the port of Barbados, we were guided out by a pilot boat.
