The day is ending, but not ours. If you look on the horizon to the left of the sun you can see some of the towers in Jerusalem, that's why they always say "going up to Jerusalem". It will take us 2-3 hours to cross the border into Israel and then another 2-3 hours to reach our hotel. We were tired when we arrived, but it was a very satisfying day.

The Jordan River
This is the general area, where Jesus was baptized.
Arabic and English sign.
This is the trail from the parking lot to the Jordan River, walking down this trail when we were finished I could imagine Jesus walking through these trees. I could hear birds singing and feel the sacredness of this place.

It was evening when we were there. A Catholic Church built near the Jordan River.

Michael taught us, Israel is our spiritual home, and coming here is like coming home to a place you've never been before. He told us, after you return home you will be homesick for the Holy Land all your life.
Baptisms are held here, both on the Jordanian side and the Israel side, just across this river is Israel and because they are so close, there are guards are both sides.

It is not the cleanest river, kind of like the Jordan River at home.
